CORBA Software
At Bionic Buffalo, I developed some CORBA products, including ORBs, an IDL compiler, and some related utilities and libraries. They included the first ORB designed specifically for embedded systems, and the only implementation of the C language mapping to comply completely with the specification.
Since then, I have been working on a completely new ORB, with several variations, and a new IDL compiler. I expect to make them available here. These will include an implementation of the CORBA 3 specification to be released under the GPL 3 license.
These new products will support applications ranging from large-scale transaction processing to embedded systems. One new area which is getting special attention is the use of CORBA to create distributed applications for interoperating mobile devices.
